China is committed to peaceful development and will never seek hegemony or engage in confrontation. China always believes that peace, cooperation, development, and mutual benefit are the irresistible trend of the times and the common aspiration of people around the world, Wang said.
To that end, diplomacy can also rely on international law and organizations such as the United Nations and the World Trade Organization (WTO) to resolve multilateral disputes, he said.
National security legislation underpins the very survival of any country, and it is a common legal practice of all countries, Wang said.
